BIDIRECTIONAL ACTION - the Vet Expert Renal Elimination diet was designed for dogs with renal failure and food intolerance. The diet is distinguished by a monoprotein and gluten-free recipe, which means that the only source of animal protein is rabbit, and the only source of carbohydrates is brown and white rice.

Renal Elimination is characterized by a controlled level of protein and phosphorus, and the addition of cranberries is intended to provide additional protection of the lower urinary tract. Added to the formula, linseed is a rich source of Omega-3 acids, which have antioxidant properties - which is especially important in the case of chronic kidney failure.

The diet covers an adult dog's nutritional requirements. The daily starting doses are given in the table below. Daily doses should be divided into two or more meals. If the dog needs a greater amount, the daily food intake should be increased accordingly. Introducing a new diet should take place gradually by mixing it with the one used so far for a period of about 2 weeks. Introducing a diet and extending the time of its administration should take place in consultation with a veterinarian. In case of chronic renal failure, the initial period of diet application should not exceed 6 months. In the case of intolerance to ingredients and nutrients, the duration of the diet should be from 3 to 8 weeks, and if the symptoms of intolerance disappear, initially the diet should be used for up to one year. The dog should have constant access to fresh, clean water.
